after market cruise control
Has anyone here ever installed an aftermarket cruise on any of their cars, third gen or other.

No, but I helped install one in a mid-80's Lincoln Towncar. My Iroc has an aftermarket cruise setup too, but I'm not too fond of it. It works, but it looks really out of place.
