89 camaro wont start
305 tbi. Rebuilt 1500 ago with a new starter after the rebuild a month ago. . I had the cel come one and checked it and I have a few bad sensors. Tps, map, no reading from the o2 and the esc. And I have a bad tranny. Just so u no what all is wrong. I've been driving it to and from work and that's it until I can get it all fixed. Ran like **** but it ran and got about 5.5 mpg. Literally. Sucked but had to do it. Well last night after I got home from work I swent to move the car, started it up, it ran for about 2 seconds and before i ccould even pput my hand on the shifter it died. And I haven't been able to get it to start at all, not even a click from the the starter, it doesn't even try to begin to turn the starter. Battery is fine, all fuses are good. Lights and radio and fan still turn on but ntn else at ahelp?ll.

Sounds like a VATS issue. Here's a starter troubleshoot guide: http://www.austinthirdgen.org/index.php?pid=38

Re: 89 camaro wont start
Thank you, it turned out to be a short in a wire going to the starter.

Re: 89 camaro wont start
hello everyone...i have a few questions/statements...I am new to this message board, can anyone tell me how to post a message/question. AND...I have a 89 camaro RS with the 3.4L swap...When i got it it needed some work. It started and ran, but i needed to get a new water pump, brake line from the rear axle back, a alternator and battery, and exaust from the Y-pipe back.
I would start it and let it warm up everyday for the last week. Today was the first day i had it on the road, it ran great...for about 25 minutes. I started hearing this humming/whistleing sound when i pressed the accelerator...then the engine just shut off on me, luckly i was only like 400 yards from my house. anyways, Now it will not turn over. Can anyone point me in the right direction on this one...the help would be greatly appreciated...with the problems and the help on posting my OWN messages...thanks
