Re: Pinouts and connector help
Well, let's ask this first: What do you plan on keeping?
The cable down by the shifter gets unscrewed at the steering column (ignition lock out cable, it's on the ignition switch) and is run through brackets down behind the dash down to the driveshaft tunnel to where it sits...
:edit: And it would help to know where each of the connectors in each of the pics (except the ones on the steering column and under the left side shroud) are located...

Re: Pinouts and connector help
well i cant really tell you where any of the little connectors are but the last one above the shifter cable is in the drivers footwell. plan on keeping headlights, taillights, wipers, power windows. whatever wasnt part of the old PCM and motor/trans.
dash is like this at the moment. (only pic i have at the moment.)

Re: Pinouts and connector help
First one looks like the console light. DO NOT modify any of the connectors on the steering column, especially the one that is white on one side and gray on the other as it's for the turn signals. Don't know about any of the 2-pin ones other than the orange and black one that's in the first pic (console light). And the one in the footwell needs to be left alone as that is for the fuel pump and rear body connections (C208). Windows and power door parts are in their own harness.

Re: Pinouts and connector help
first pic - I have no clue
second pic - looks like the foglight pigtail for the switch
third pic - connect by the window switches and is for the hatch. It connects the front dash harness to the rear harness for the hatch
pics 4, 5, 6 do not touch as its everything for the signals and whatnot. The sixth pic is the C207 I think its called and is for all the tail lights fuel pump and a few other things I cant remember
Yes and No you can cut the cable off. Its there for a auto to make sure you cant start it in gear. I just cut it off in a friends car the other week as his car is a manual and it still worked but in his 84 we undid the zip tie that was holding it and it didnt start. We put it back on and it started again. Try playing with it abit by pulling it out and putting it in as it would if it was still auto and see if it starts. If it does cut it off.
