Headlight Door Motor Troubleshooting

Hello

I have an 87 GTA 5.7L Automatic with gauges cluster. I am trying to figure out why the headlight door on DS will come up and Passenger side will not. Some background on what I have done already. I ordered the bushing repair kit from TDS and replaced those in both motors. That worked great, now I can raise and lower the doors manually by cranking the gear **** on top. Both open and close smoothly, of course I did break several bolts and drill and retap to an M5 but still making progress.
I have the DS going up consistently, down inconsistently, PS not going up or down at all. I have the 87 FSM and have performed the troubleshooting steps for the door motor but stil don't know if it's the door control module, switch inside the car, or the motor itself is shot. The FSM does not go into troubleshooting steps to verify the dead part, I don't want to take a shotgun approach and just start throwing parts at the car, that could get expensive.

Does anyone have any troubleshooting tips for testing the door control module, the switch inside the car or the door motors themselves? I think I can rule out the DS door motor as it works up consistently and down inconsistently, but the switch, door control module and PS door motor are still suspect, I am going back out now to ohm test the wires and will report back on them later.

Thanks for any assistance!

Re: Headlight Door Motor Troubleshooting

Solved!

For some reason previous owner put on a crimp connector connecting two of the wires, I'll grab a pic and post it, when I fiddle with this crimp connector they both work consistently. Now to figure out why he did this and fix that also.
