Camaro speedometer mechanical to VSS

Hi everyone

I`m just finishing swaping engine in my camaro to LT1 and I realized that my speedometer won`t work because it is mechanical.

I`m wondering if someone will be interested to DIY instruction to modife old speedometer into electronical one? I`m building such thing and I can make an instruction for that and share with all documentation.

On the film u can see that odometer is working. Waiting for parts to finish rest of it.

Sorry for english

Yeah that would be a good write up. I think most people either switch to an electric gauge or get that Jaguar converter box for 300 bucks. So more options are always welcome

Re: Camaro speedometer mechanical to VSS

After problems with transmission and optispark issues (now) speedometer works

costs ~30-40$
2 steep motors
uC atmega8 with PCB and some cheap parts
needle (correct me if I`m wrong) printed on 3D printer and painted

edit:
In future I will increase the resolution by software, on the film can notice that needle jumps a little
