Totaled 85 T/A Parting out - good cheap HiPerformance parts
I totaled my '85 Trans Am a while back but most of the car and its parts are in good condition.
Performance stuff
--------------------
Hooker 2055 headers and y-pipe, Jet-Hot ceramic coated. Purchased for over $700 total, asking $350 OBO.
ZZ4 intake manifold, brand new never used. $50
Spohn tubular subframe connectors, brand new never used. No hardware included. Asking $75 OBO.
Original CC Quadrajet carb. Probably needs a good rebuild, but still works and has all parts. $40 OBO.
Other stuff
---------------------
Factory original Dashpad, no cracks, tears or rips... very good condition. $90 OBO.
Pioneer CD player, 2004 model with removable faceplate. $20
Radio/HVAC trim piece, good condition. $5
The rest of the car's parts are also for sale if you are looking for something, but these are probably the most valuable parts. If you are looking for something in particular though, just ask and I will see if I can get it for you!
Most of the car's parts can be seen here: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/591740/3

Re: Totaled 85 T/A Parting out - good cheap HiPerformance parts
Tampa Hurricane, I don't have any recent pics of the dash pad but I am going to buy some batteries for my digital camera tomorrow and hopefully get some good pics to let you see what it looks like.
camaroz2810, I have pictures of them on the car on my cardomain page, but once I get them off the car itself I can send you some ones of just the headers themselves.
PeMa, yes, I'm sorry I forgot to mention the A.I.R. tubes have been removed and the holes sealed shut. The collectors have also been opened slightly to relieve restriction of exhaust gas flow. They seal perfectly fine, however and there are no leaks.
simz28, honestly I don't remember if there was any screws or bolts that came with the SFCs or not. Considering that they are weld-ins anyway, I don't imagine that would be a problem but like I said, if there was any hardware that came with them I don't have it anymore. All the SFC tubes are there though.
InfernalVortex, yes I have the shift **** still and yes, it is the T-handle. It's a little roughed up though but still 100% functional.
If anyone else has questions let me know by posting here or sending me a PM. I'll try to get back to everyone as quickly as possible.
EDIT: I forgot to mention to simz28, no I don't have a STB.

IROCZ_L98, check your PM.
demon138, by the bracket do you mean the metal housing the headlight? I don't know what sounds good if that's what your talking about, so how about $20 + shipping. Let me know if that sounds good.

As far as payment goes, I would prefer cashier's check or money orders please. I do have a paypal account if that is your only option, however.
Shift06, I've already got someone interested in the CD player, but the steering wheel and shifter **** are still up for grabs. The taillights are the grid style but the black grids are faded in some areas and doesn't look very good and I'm not sure how to fix it. You can still get them if you would like though. The passenger side headlight has never worked properly, even before the wreck so I wouldn't want to sell you a defective part cause I never did figure out what was causing the problem. And finally I don't know what you're referring to when you say the side mirror glass? I thought the side mirrors were a whole assembly.
MilehighBird, I would prefer a cashier's check or money order. I'll PM about the shipping.
demon138, it doesn't look like it's damaged at all to me, but the front end got tore up pretty bad so I'll have to double check that for you. I'll let you know.
86z28iroc-z, you can have all that stuff for say $55 + whatever shipping is. Sound good?

Re: Totaled 85 T/A Parting out - good cheap HiPerformance parts
Here are some pictures for you PeMa. I've decided that I'm going to reduce the price for you to $275 since I uncovered a few problems with the y-pipe that you may want to look into. The headers themselves are still in great condition, though. No worries there.
Anyway, here they are:
1 - front side of passenger-side header
2 - back side of passenger-side header (that's not rust on the pipes... just dirt; the last bolt on the passenger side header was missing so the headers didn't seal correctly so you'll need to find one more bolt)
3 - front side of driver-side header

Re: Totaled 85 T/A Parting out - good cheap HiPerformance parts
1 - back side of driver-side header
2 - this is where the problems are. the top of the y-pipe itself looks to me like a combonation of surface rust that will sand right off and a lot of dirt. The y-junction is where the main problem is, but the rest of the pipe looks ok.
3 - again, the same problem with the y-junction. however, you'll notice that the driver side of the pipe is scraped up pretty bad (the y-pipe itself sits pretty low on the car, but I think I misaligned my exhaust a bit). It's only a thin layer at this point but it will probably need to be sanded and painted before it gets any worse.
EDIT: I also forgot to mention there was a small dent in the y-pipe near the y-junction. You may be able to see it in the last pic if you look close enough.

I think I could sell you the one I have because IROCZ_L98 only needs the over axle pipe and muffler/tips. Unless he tells me otherwise you can grab it off of me.
----------
Shift06, I'll let you know what's going on tomorrow with that mirror because honestly I have no idea how to get it off and I didn't even look at it today. If you can wait till tomorrow I'll have some more info for you.
intruder, someone else has already claimed dibs on the headers and y-pipe but if it falls through I'll let you know!

I could be wrong but that damage looks repairable unless it bent the frame.Or is the rest of the car just not worth saveing.Just wondering.Btw what color is the interior?

The damage is repairable but I'm not going to do it since I don't have the tools, time or money to fix it. A few body shops quoted anywhere from $3500 to $5500 to repair it for me and I just don't have that kind of loot to drop on a car that already has problems.
The interior for the most part is grey with a few black pieces here and there

Thanks for your interest guys, but the headers have already been sold and shipped. Sorry.
