If you find one new if you could let me know by posting where you found it that would be cool. Mine got snapped last year and borg warner stopped making them in the fall of last year according to gmpartsdirect.com, I am waiting for a few phone calls back and an email in my search, I will post with info if I can find one.

Thanks for the info.
If i find one in stock i'll post the info here.
I looked for both the GM part number, and the borg-warner part number. But neither one is in stock. (fyi, generally the borg-warner part is cheaper, GM markup???)
borg-warner:
CLUTCH FORK, CAMARO/FIREBIRD LT1 CLUTCH RELEASE FORK
1386-596-004
http://www.thegearbox.org/catalog/it...17/8252716.htm
GM:
1994-1997 clutch release fork
12523312
If i cant find it soon. I might try converting to either an LS style clutch, or SBC style clutch. There are more flywheel/clutch options available for both SBC and LS.
But the money $$$ for all the parts needed for a conversion (bellhousing, clutch, flywheel, hydraulics) is excessive since all i need is a clutchfork.
FYI, my fork didnt snap.. but my fork pivot is worn, causing the clutch not to fully dissengage.
per ram clutch, and many other forum posts:

I have an LT1 clutch set and it will not release. What can I check?
LT1 applications are notorious for wear on the pivot tee/fork assembly that will affect release. Replace these components if the clutch is not operating properly.

I was able to find the "pivot t nut" at www.hawksthirdgenparts.com, and www.thegearbox.org.

Re: New LT1 T56 Clutch Fork 12523312
Mine over-extended into the pressure plate because I used third gen pedals and fourth gen hydraulics. The muffler shop guy matted the pedal after I told them not to push it more than half way, that would be a really round about and not the best way to increasing your fork travel if you think it is worn down too much, not a very good option but an option at that
