I have a 1991 GTA 350 TPI, auto trans. Cats have been deleted and a flow master exhaust system has been installed, everything else is pretty much stock. I didn't even know that my car had a hypertech chip till we pulled it out. The car has been the mystery machine and I think we have finally found the problem, the computer gets real hot after about 15-30 minutes of the car running. We went junk yarding and the computer cross references with about 10 others, but the chip is different. We put my chip in the other cpu and the car ran, but just blew black smoke and ran real rough. I am not an expert and have spent a bunch of money replacing many unneeded parts to come to this conclusion. So anyone who can lead me in the right direction it is appreciated, thanks for your time and your help. I have pictures below.
