Bring me your broken and your tired... MegaSquirts.

I'm wanting to get more familar with MegaSquirt, using my test bench, but don't want to spend a whole lot on it, otherwise I'd just buy a new one.

MS1,2 or 3, Prefer board V3, but will consider all.

Let me know what you have.

PM works best.

Thanks

I know this doesn't help you but that is how I got my MS. A friend had it made for his GSXR 600 project and it shorted out. He got fed up and bought a brand new one for DIY Autotune and gave the fried one to me. I changed all the fried diods, resistors, and fixed the short and it has been running perfect since then. I think it cost me $10 in parts to fix it.

unfortunalty the majority of ppl that use the megasquirt fix it if something goes bad

if u really want to play and learn one of the systems building it from scratch is the best way.

u can buy a unassembled ms1 v3.0 for 207 bucks, and down the road u can buy the ms2 cpu , or the ms3 cpu and it goes right in.

the ms2 cpu is 111 bucks though
so to buy the same v3.0 kit with ms2 cpu is much cheaper its only 278 bucks
and if ur going to use it on a gm car and u want to use the factory stepper iac u will need a ms2 cpu anyways

Re: WTB: Broken or failed MegaSquirt(s)

I know there are some out there, so that is why I've put up postings like this. I have a line on one so far, MS1 V2.2 with a bad processor and optical input.

I'm hoping that in the end I'll have a few different versions on the shelf so that I can help people more with the MS tuning and troubleshooting.

If, I'm going to buy new, I'd buy an MS3 with the MS3X board, but would be over $600 by the time I get it here, a bit much for something that I don't necessarily plan to use in a vehicle.

if it falls threw let me know im half tempted to try a 7730 with code 59 on my iroc and might be willing to trade my ms2 v3.0 for an 7730 and harness.

my ms2 is only setup for gm hei/hall circut though, though for afew bucks u could add in the other circuts, other then that its pretty box stock unit sinc ei havent modified it for any inputs or outputs other then tcc lockup/hei-dis bypass

im still debating on it

whats the cost for a burner and the adpter and all the parts needed to be able to tune the 7730, just the basic stuff i dont need anything fancy

my only other issue with the swap is i wont be able to run my brand new precision injectors anymore since they are low-z so id have to find somone somone to buy them so i can get highz injectors first, that shouldnt be hard to do though
