Car: 89 Trans Am GTA
Engine: 383 TPI
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 3:27
K rebuild using these parts w/n or buy new crate?
I want to keep TPI set up. I was thinking of 383 with lt4 hot cam kit, Fast burn heads or Edelbrock E-tec 170 with SDPC TPI Vortec Baseplate, high flow runners and 52mm TB or for the cost should I just buy and slap in a crate. I would like to be in the 350 to 400hp summer driver. Thanks for any info and is anyone running a set up like I mentioned?

If those are pretty much the exact parts you want to run, you might as well go crate (fast burn 383). The cost will be only slightly higher, but no assembly is required and you can recover some of the cost by selling your old engine.

oh really did not know they made a crate 383 fast burn where did you see that or is it special order. Or are you thinking of the 385 faster burn 350. Thanks for the reply out of 40 something.
