hello all

ok im swaping form a v-6 manual 92 camaro rs to a 305v-8 here is what iv put to-gather so far. i found a holley spred bore 750cfm carburator for 85$, i know ill need a new kick down cable sence it's going to be an auto different raidator for an auto trans, i dont know if ill need a different drive shaft i need help with that, i know ill need a new cross mebmer or i think i do it has an arm that comes off the trans it came out of an impala, and ill need a new distuributor, and ill need a new shift arm for the auto (ill custom fabricate that).


if you think i left anny thing out or you think you have some info that will help please let me know this is my first time doing anny thing to swaping motors in cars.



sorry if you cant read anny of that i do have problems with righting im taking classes so please bare with me.

a lot more than that

u will need basically the 305 with everything on it so like a crate motor cuz none of the stuff will work on a v8 from a v6 you will need new headers and exhaust motor mount shells and maybe mouor mounts u might need a new cross member from a camaro for the tranny itself and maybe a new tailstock depending on if the speedo is mechanical or electric u might have to swap that you will need a flexplate for auto trans you might but i highly doubt it a neww driveshaft you might also need to beat the firewall in just to get the motor sitting in you might have to change some computer **** u will need a new radiator and a trans cooler if u dont want to ruin ur trans u also will need brackets for the front assembly of the motor if ur not stayin serpentine thats all i can think of right now but if ur not gonna be able to do all this **** u might want to rethink the swap and go v8 to v8 swap and a question y 305 and not a 350 383 or even a big block a lot more power and a lot more funnnn!!! good luck

ok maby i left a bunch of stuff out i have a 305 compleat motor it ran but i dont want a coumputer in it so im changing it over to carb i all redy have an auto trans hooked to it im not stupid lol i know it has to have a flex plate ovsely gears spark plugs it's a compleat motor i just want to know if i need anny special thing for swaping it from a v-6 like a new raidator

also the reson for not going to a 350 or 327 or 383 or even the 454 i can get is because i have 3 tickets on reckord in the last year i have no licnce and when i do get them back the 305 will be more than enougfh hp and also a 305 with headers sounds nice if you get a different cam for different specs on the exaust side. iv looked in to it i all redy payed 300$ for a running 305 just i want to take the coumputer off to make it easyer to work on and with the holley 750 square bore carb im sure i can get plenty of power out of it
