Engine: 357 tpi 350 4bbl
Transmission: 700r4/ richmond 4speed
Axle/Gears: 9 bolt 3.45/3.42 8.5"
Bbc Deck Height
I have a chance to purchase a mid 80's chevy 1 ton pickup. It has a 454 in it. I am not familiar with bbc's. What is the deal with the deck height will it change the output of this motor?? I might by it and throw the 350 from my 81 in it sell it and build the 454 for the 81 camaro. Any opinions on this motor???

Transmission: TH350
Axle/Gears: 3.73 posi with spacer
Since it's in a light-duty truck its a regular stock deck height 454 they did not make tall deck 454's. The tall deck blocks are 366 cid and 427 cid, designated 366T and 427T. They are .300" taller IIRC.
