put a 350 in 85 firebird
I put a 350 in a 85 firebird the original motor was a 305 4bbl i put a edelbrock performer intake on it and a holley 600 i used the old distributer off the 305. I cannot get this thing timed burns really rich and super doggy we stabbed this thing 4 times. Could my problem be that this distibuter is computer controled and now im running a non computer carb? I really need help this is driving me crazy!

You need a vacuum/mechanical advance distributor with a non-computer carb.
What harmonic damper and front cover did you use?

Not if you kept them both from the same engine. People sometime put a damper from an engine with the timing tab at 12 o'clock on an engine with the timing tab at 2 o'clock, so when they try to set their timing, it is way, way retarded.
