Engine: Built 358/stock w/ stage 1 jet kit
Transmission: 700R4 (for now)
Axle/Gears: Stock for now/ 520 conv. sprocket

Pre 86 sbc in a 92 camaro Z28 need help!!!

I am looking at getttin a carburated 350 that is a pre 86. I had some quiestions on if I could swap all the acessories from my 350TPI to the new engine?

I need help please

You should swap the heads and cam and TPI while you're at it probably.

But yes, you can swap that over as long as it's a 1970 or so or newer 350. The older heads dont have the threads for the accessory brackets on the front I dont think. Like some of those overhyped "camelhump" heads.

You'll need a different flywheel as well - or maybe just a different starter - someone that remembers better can chime in (my old brain can't remember)

i have an 88 camaro it was a v6 so i got a 92 305 for it had it in for a while that motor blew up so i swaped a 69 350 4 bolt in ever i used the starter and fly wheel off the 305 and also i used all brackets off 305

It turns out that my collision repair teacher knowsw a guy that has an LT1 out of a camaro z28 and i might be gettin that for 300 then throwin an eldebrock LT1 carb intake on it and a holley performer 750cfm

Why not keep it simple and get the entire LT1?

This carb on Gen II/III engines stuff just baffles me.

Honestly I am done with fuel injection. Unless its a new car or an LS1 she's gunna be carbed. But it turns out the LT1 I was hopin to get was sold and now its runnin in a stock car the town over.

And I might even put a carb on an LS1 if I was to get one, a friend of mine might do it on his "modified" firehawk.
PS: the car will out run a procharged fox body with a 5.0 cobra engine.
