Will 4th gen tank fit 3rd gen car?
I am getting ready to swap an LT1 into my 82 Z28 and am thinking about using a 4th gen tank. Does anyone know if it will fit?
Thanks for any info.

That's an interesting question. Unfortunately I don't know the answer. The tank is in the general area where all the "carry-over" parts were from the 3rd to 4th gen, so my guess is going to be its darned near the same, but I bet there's a couple of small variations, like the exact location of the filler neck, that would cause a problem. Never hurts to find a salvage yard and compare the two, it would be good knowledge to have.

I have a fourth gen tank with pump. I also have the factory fourth gen plastic fuel lines that come off the intake. I am going to get the metal lines that are under the car and see if I can use them. I am sure that I will have to do some bending, but the cars are so similar underneath, that I think it will work. When I find out, I will post whether it works or not.
Thanks
Thanks
