I just picked my short block up from the machine shop and I am trying to figure out a good top end match. The block is a 4 bolt 1 piece rear main bored 30 over with flat top notched pistons installed.the head surface or deck is not cut still stock.I want to use vortec heads from summit racing.The specs on the hydrolic cam are SAE dur-int 288 exh.298 ,.050 dur-int 214 exh. 224 camlift int 295 ex 310 valvelift int.443 exh465 lobe ctrs int 107 exh 117. This cam was installed bye the machine shop as part of the package. I need help matching this to a intake and carb. any suggestions.I planned on buying a hei dist from summitt also.What effects do my 5 speed tranny have on my decisions of carb and dist. Thanks guys I have cash in hand and want to order these parts asap.
