GMPP 385 fast burn upgrade comp cam?
hey guys, i'm wanting to buy a gm crate engine, a 385 fast burn with aluminum heads. I'm wanting to upgrade the cam but instead of using the "lt4 hot cam kit" I want to utilize better/more current technology of the current up to date cams out there now as I feel the hot cam is alittle bit outdated. What would you recommend? I have a 5 speed tremec trans in my 69 Camaro with 3:73 posi rears
evidentally with the hot cam and the 385 gm engine you get about 420hp
from what I've read on here and other forums, i'm thinking about the comp cams 08-2432-8 (xe272) roller cam. I'm just not sure if the valve train would all need upgraded or not. I know there have got to be better cams out there now than the gm hot cam, thanks

You might want to give Bullet Racing Cams a call. I've never heard anyone complain about the product they got from them. They'll take your engine/trans/vehicle specs and intended use, recommend a grind, and any valvetrain upgrades you'll need.
