How far to lower my sport coupe?
As you all no doubt know, i have an 86 305 Sport Coupe.
At the moment the car is stock height, rolling on rally wheels. The front looks to be riding a little too high for my taste, but the rear is fine. How far should i lower it, bearing in mind it needs to retain a decent ride, and needs to be able to clear some quite aggressive speed bumps at work
Here is the car as it looks at the moment.
notice the distance from the edge of the wheel, to the edge of the arch.
For non tech discussion, try www.fordvschevy.com i'm regesterd there under the same name

Phil, mine is lowered 1.5 " to give you an idea. Not sure how much lower a Z28 is over the SC but the IROC is definitely 0.5" lower than the Zee. Given that I would go for 1.5" minimum.
Also, just my opinion but I would loose the door stickers.... I like the Rally wheels- very rare too! Also love the tail light blackouts!
Cheers,
Felix

i seem to recall the Z is 1" lower than the s/c, so IROC springs will give me the 1.5 i'm looking for, any lower, and i think i'd need to change the rear springs as well.
