For Sale/ Wanted

Hi everyone,

As we are slightly different from the States, I thought it would be a good idea that if you want to sell anything or buy then Post It here! If we keep it all together on this sticky things will be clean and tidy. I doubt there will be much activity here but it could be a great resource for us Europeans. Please don't abuse this or it will be removed.

One other thing, if you see something of interest please e-mail or PM that person direct. Don't reply to the thread in otherwords.

Thanks,
Felix

I am looking for an ECM for my IROC. Service number:1227165

Also have for sale:
5 piece ground effect kit, from an 83 Camaro. Kit comprises of 2 rear bits, 2 side skirts and the 2 bits for the doors.

A 3 piece rear spoiler, original type.

All above are in primer and ready to fit.
All parts are used, but in good condition. Side skirts were slightly cracked, but have been laminated and repaired.

Also have a rear tailgate complete with glass, bit scruffy but will tidy up.
2 electric window motors, 1 drivers door mirror, 2 door glasses,

1 passenger side front wing, used but saveable.

Obviously a trade could be on the cards !

1992 RS for sale....

One of the last 3rd Gen Camaros ever built (July 1992) in stunning red and generally great condition, interior again is virtually in showroom condition. History includes original sales document (UK - never previously owned in the US), all old MOTs and some bills.

This is a 305 (5.0 V8) with the 4sp auto, which by 1992 has had all the previous gearbox reliability issues (which plagued the older cars) eliminated. The interior as previously mentioned looks as if it had just come from a brochure shoot - it is spotless and the headline is perfect, in this regard not having a T-Top does help since these DO leak (having had both I can attest to this fact). The only 'modification' to the interior is the fitment of a CD/Radio. Interior is thankfully not the 'pimp red' so beloved by our American cousins but a restrained (and spotless!) grey. Another added bonus is that this car comes with a heated rear screen - this is quite a rare sight on UK F-Bodies.

The good news continues on the outside with a few caveats -

1) there is a small amount of suface rust in the rear RHS wheel arch and NOWHERE else (not 'pinpricks', 'bubbles' or any such other misnomer genereally associated with F-Bodies you may have seen)
2) there is a small crack on the RHS head-lamp pocket (about £400 to fix)
3) the lacquer is coming off the alloys (about £150 to fix)

The only thing I will say is that this is not a 'trailer queen' or for shows only - it is a (VERY) good useable and reliable yank.

The only 'mod' on the exterior is the substitution of a Z28 grille rather than the original RS grille.
Fuel consumption is very acceptable hitting 30mpg on a run and low 20s round town.

Considering all of this the price is a very reasonable £5,250. Will you find a cheaper Camaro? Of course (and I've seen some of the rubbish for sale!!)! Will you find one with fewer faults/better? Not at this price!

What more can I tell you? Well it'll have 12 months MOT and just been serviced. Any other questions please feel free to ask - ditto for pix

Hi Irocfan,
purely out of interest, how many miles u got on the car matey.Hope u get what u want for it, as i got a 92 mint car recently and i can absolutely say its much better gettin a car in excellent nick than buyin ano lder one and doin loads of resto work, where you'll probably spend more on it anyway.

dude - we really need to get away from this obsession about mileage and start concentration on CONDITION some of the lower mieage cars I have seen are complete ****heaps (truth be told even my old 383 which had about 10k more on the clock was a world away condition-wise to this one - and that wasn't in bad nick very little rust (what do I mean by very little? the leading edge of the bonnet was rusty and I believe the bottom of the drivers door was starting to rust on the inside and that was it, nothing else!). My problem is I tend to be super picky - the guy who bought the 383 said he couldn't believe how good it was given my description of the car, in-fact he nearly didn't bother with seeing it since he though it was going to be a clunker

That being said it's got 93k and the interior could still be used for a brochure shot - as could the exterior comes to that!!!

Jesus matey, calm down a bit, i said purely out of interest meaning i have absolutely no interest in buying your car, just interested in data on later camaros in the UK.

now that's the problem with writting things - what was just to be just a quick word looks to have transformed me into a swivel-eyed mileage nazi!

sorry fella I think we can chalk that one up to 'lost in translation' (betwixt fingers and keyboard!)
