Hi Phil,

I think that sadly it will be 'too good to miss'. I don't think Felix would be up for taking on a project like this. Also, it may seem a kick in the teeth for him seeing as he got rid of his peach of a modified IROC recently. Didn't he say his next 'fast car' was going to be a Audi Quattro Coupe or something?

Furthermore, the whole situation of "The car is advertised elsewhere and therefore i reserve the right to end the auction early." really annoys me. You get the impression that they are just 'testing the waters' with their car and will only sell it if they get a really good price. Myself, and another Euro board member have seriously considered buying a parts car for mutual use - the trouble with these auctions is that they always seem either dreadfully inaccurate or are ended because the product has been allegedly sold elsewhere.

Anyway, sound off! I hope you don't mind the reply, just expressing an opinion or two. Cheers Phil!

He, he, he... Cheers for keeping an eye out Phil my man. Wouldn't be kind of thing though even if I had the readies.

I will be very specific with the next motor. Must be a special 'Vert IROC or RS and must be black or similar. Just want to move away from what I had as nothing can compete in my opinion.

I thought about the Quattro UR Turbo- but it's not special enough for a weekend warrior. Though I do love the classic straight 5 warble- almost as nice as a V8 (almost)

My wife wants to get involved in choosing the next car (hopefully next year if finances are in order)

Gordon, the advertised elsewhere is a good thing. I know with my situation- it was changing daily and up to the last day I thought there may be a chance of me not selling thus needed a get out clause. Also if I had the time etc to advertise in Classic American and ebay and someone from CA came to see the car and offered full price then I wouldn't hesitate to end the auction early. It's what's best for the seller- if the car is right, then your offer price should be right and therefore a done deal

Cheers guys,
Felix
