Stock Exhaust on '86 camaro
I have an '86 camaro, that as far as I know has the stock exhaust on it. It a single pipe out the back, I would like to change it to duel exhaust, what am I expecting to pay for this upgrade? Lets say at a midus, or somthing, My dad and I could do it if it is not that hard, my dad has been a welder for 30 years so I am sure he and I could do it if it would be cheaper that way.

Well, if you want the exhaust most of us have, it is simulated dual exhaust (two tail pipes, one intermediate). That is what came stock on most of the 3rd gens. Most of the recommendations have been a Flowmaster, Borla, SLP, or Dynomax cat-back system. This is the system from the cat convertor back (mufflers too?). You can make true dual exhaust, but from what I have seen, it is a pin in the a$$ because you have to custom make it - GM didn't see fit to make room for 2 pipes going back (probably didn't want the Z-28's outrunning the Corvettes!). Good luck.
