Smog tube that wraps around engine
Ok the smog tube that wraps around the back of the block that connects the individual air tubes. Did anyone remove this or just cap the lines? Also if so, how did you remove it, is it bolted somewhere way underneath and up or what? I just want to clean up the engine bay a little more and get tired of seeing those 2 tubes sitting there. Thanks in advance.

when i put my headers on i took off every smog device on my car. including the tube you are talkin about. it isn't connected to the motor anywhere accept with one bolt at the very back of each head.(i'm pretty sure it has been a while) it is just a crossover tube for the AIR injection. it is a pain to remove though because the distributor to firewall clearance is so tight that it wouldn't slide out, so i had to cut it into three pieces to get it out. be sure to reconnect the ground wires that are bolted into the back of the head. good luck!!

Thanks superz. I just got it all loose, now i just need to get it out. What did you use to cut it? There isn't much room. I didn't put the grounds back on yet because I want to finish getting the tube out tomorrow. But when I moved it, it had a miss and I had no power brakes. This is just because of the grounds right? I hope so. Thanks.

i used a hacksaw blade(not the hacksaw just the blade) to cut my tube into three pieces. it took forever but i eventully got it. i don't know what the grounds go to. mine were almost too short and i pulled the ends off of the wires. i was pissed, but i soldered new ends on and bolted them to he head again.
good luck tell me how it turns out
