Gmmg
Ok, so I did a search and the only person I found with GMMG is fatal88, with the LS1 so that doesn't really help much. Willie has a similar setup but not on a L98. So does anyone have GMMG on their L98? Sound clips? Also, anybody have the vid of ******* car to hear his exhaust.. In any case, thanks alot!!

******* car has exhaust very similar to the GMMG one but with true duals
It sounds awesome and I will do a setup like his one day when the rest of the car is done and till I have the motor to back it up.
Go here for the vid clip. Enjoy!

Any reason for selling that 97 for a 91? Just curious, but I would take the 97 although the 91-92's are sweet looking.

Thanks for the link.
As for the car situation, I like the 97 and would love to keep it, but I found pretty much exactly what I want in a thirdgen, so I couldn't pass it up..

I would also like to know more about gmmg on 3rd gens. I was thnking about just buying two chambered mufflers and having someone fab them up for me, But I am not sure how much it would cost, and of course I would cap it way under what GMMG costs anyway.
I have heard it on an LT1 which is basically the same motor(as an L98) and it sounds absolutely badass. Now the same combo is cam'd with headers as well and its even better, super aggressive sound. I will be doing this hopefully before summers over

what about instead of going through all the work of having all the bends and just have one chambered muffler run right where the stock i pipe goes, i checked and theirs room to one run of them . And then just have two tips made like my exhaut. Right now i have muffler and i have two tips out the back .

Would the GMMG system hurt performance because its running a single pipe splitting into two mufflers in stock location? I know its a chambered muffler which should flow better than a crossflow type right? I figured just one muffler of theirs would be better for performance and should be louder since all the exhaust flow is going into one muffler. Although I like this setup cuz it is easier and cheaper than true dual, I dont like a single exit pipe out back. I like two tips but thats me. Of course you can have a turndown tip up under the bumper and hide it but it seems too plain back there.
Heard and seen the video clips of the LS1 cars on GMMG website? Very deep and loud sounding. Awsome tone and cool videos.

Orr89RocZ, have you looke dat pics of my car , i have tips on each side . SO , if u put the chambered muffler in the i pipe by the driveshaft then you would have two tips out the back and still have 1 muffler.

Yes, by that logic it would be just like loudmouth. I was going to do just that. Purchase a good used loudmouth, remove the resonator and replace it with two chambered mufflers side by side. But I do not think there is enough room without some major fabbing, to make them both fit. It would cost about half of what GMMG does new, and prolly sound similar. Although I would guess the single muffler would be a bit louder. Just keep in mind, the longer the tube, the mellower the sound. The shorter the tube, more aggressive, higher pitched sound

I must have misread. I see. Nice car man! Do you have pics of what your system looks like underneath? Looks great out back. A chambered tube muffler has single inlet/outlet so you just run a little split y-pipe to have two exit tips out back? Is that right? Never thought like that before. Seems good.

So thats what the length of the muffler does. I was always wondering about that. Thanks for the info. I was thinking about the Summit Racing tube mufflers that they have. They are 24 and 30 inches long and 130 bucks or so. You prolly could run one behind the cat in that long section of pipe and then over the axle and split it so u can have two tips. I would want to do that right now but its not a very big priority right now. Too many other projects for the Roc right now. Oh well I am stuck with my Flowmaster 80 series but I like it.

Chambered mufflers are all really the same. And 130 sounds crazy to me, There is a guy on ebay that sells em in all lengths from like 18" to 100" . And cheap too, thats where I was gonna go. I was going to buy them, polish them out myself and then install them. I might have someone custom make me a gmmg type system. It looks less and less complicated everytime I look at it.

Two chambered's is bound to be better than even a single crossflow. I've seen 60hp losses on the dyno with certain crossflow mufflers, that was an LS1, but same should be true on thirdgens.
If you're going to try and make a GMMG style exhaust, look at "sweet thunder" mufflers. They make the chambered mufflers for GMMG and you can get them in 12", 16", 18" and 24" lentgths with 2-4" diameters.
