Could a bad exhaust system(leaking, busted up and rusted pipes, manifold leaks) cause problems like stumbling and backfiring?
Thanks,
Matt

i have a tad of backfiring after i let off the gas sometimes and i am pretty sure my straight pipes where the cats use to be leak alittle, maybe even the headers alittle loose.

That might cause a popping sound, but not a real backfire (actually, its afterfire if its in the exhaust) and shouldn't cause a stumble.
Those sound ALOT more like fuel delivery problems than exhaust problems.

Ok, I am just making sure. The exhaust is getting replaced anyways. I just want to make sure so I can concentrate on other areas.
Thanks,
Matt
