I need my #7 header tube cut and moved about 3/4" to the right. The problem is that I have straight plug heads and Hooker Long tubes 3310's. There is hardly any clearance. I have modified the plug to be an 1/8" shorter and have dimpled the primary tube. It isn't touching but is very close. Heres where the problem comes in. After a while the plug boot burns through and causes the spark to jump to the header tube. At night it looks like July 4th under there and the car runs terrible like that. Last summer I thought that I had come up with the permanent fix. I bought the MSD boots that can handle over 2500 degrees and after a few months the problem is back. I'm ready for a permanent fix.
