Were to put the cut out?
Hey guys, for those of you who remember me, it has been quit a while since I've been on.
My brother got my '89 RS when I got a 2002 Camaro, so I want to get him a cut out for Christmas. He likes to make his car as loud as possible, so this would be right up his ally.
However, I looked under the car today and there is no "good" place to put a cut out within reaching distance up near the y-pipe. The cat has to stay (Texas). So my question is; where is the best place the put a cut out on a L03? It has a Flowmaster catback on it already.
Any pics would be GREATLY appreciated.

suppose you'd get long tubes, the cout out would be placed right after the collector.

I refered the longtubes to illustrate the position where the cout out could be placed.

put it before the cat on the Y-pipe. You can easily have an exhaust shop make the modifications. That is the BEST place to put a cut-out, hands down.

I guess I COULD have them modify the y-pipe and the location of the cat, but i was reallly hoping to just cut a section of pipe, weld up the cut out, and go; meaning I want to keep this as cheap as possible. Thanks for the help, guys!
