Doooh!
I finally finished swapping to a Moroso 20180 6qt oil pan and forgot to research fitment before installing it. Well now my y-pipe won't fit, due to the larger pan. Has anyone been able to remedy this? I'm wondering if its possible to oval the pipe between the pan and x-member.

Sure....anything is possible.....it gets expensive when you customize stuff. But it is probably not a big deal. Pics would be good.

Re: Doooh!
I have also ran into this problem is there any aftermarket companies that are making a y pipe that will replace my current one?

Re: Doooh!
I just don't get everyone with the larger oil pans ... why?
My 350 has been run with a standard 5 qt. oil pan for 40 years, and it's still going strong.
Only thing a bigger pan gets you in a street car is more cash spent on oil every x,000 miles! Large oil pans are designed for drag cars, race cars, etc. - not street cars.

I feel better knowing that I had an extra two quarts, not cutting it to close.
