spring loaded muffler
my friend recently mentioned to me something about a muffler that had some sort of a spring inside, that when you were at idle it was closed off so it was quiet but when you hammered on the throttle the spring opened up some sort of flap and you unleash that oh so wonderful loud noise. question was if they still make these, and if so where i could find some. thanks...

Interesting...
Just get a cable cutout. Then you can open and close it, when you decide to.

Re: spring loaded muffler
rumour has it that my daily driver maxima has something like that where over 3500 rpms it opens a flap for better flow, at least according to some people on that board. I never bothered to verify how true it is..
