Lol I was thinking the same thing the other day when I ran across these on ebay. The shear fact that he is asking that much is crazy. Thats highway robbery at its best right there.

Re: ugliest, crappiest, worst flowing whitetrash exhaust i have ever seen...for $280!

Well first off, I agree that the price is too high. That is a 3" version, but is only for the dual cat models, supposedly. His single cat exhaust is only $180, but uses 2 1/4" I-pipe like stock.

Finally, IF the 3" model were a direct fit for my LO3, and was priced cheaper like at $180, I would consider buying it. However, I would buy it with the sole intent of cutting out the edges on his "T" intersection, and making it a decent flowing Y-pipe between the 2 tips.

I have seen tips like that, and they look pretty good. Also, I love the straight pipe sound.

Re: ugliest, crappiest, worst flowing whitetrash exhaust i have ever seen...for $280!

Well, he doesent actually claim any "additional horsepower". And I bet if it was modified to fit a single cat system, it would sound real good too.

The only kinda iffy thing is that ugly T-intersection he makes to eliminate the muffler.

I know its not a nice mandrel bent system like you guys all prefer, however it's true, I have paid more money for a lesser system at an exhaust shop, crush bent too.

Shoot, sign me up for three of 'em.

I need some more useless scrap laying in my backyard. I've actually seen quite a few Y-pipes made like that on various vehicles, Some people can't figure out the why they call it a "Y" pipe, & not a "T" pipe.

Worst part is he's been listing them (I can't say one way or the other about "selling" them) for years.

With a little creative fab work, you can put the TSP Rumbler on for not too much more...

I wouldn't call it creative; and as an engineer, don't want the word "engineering" associated in any way with what he's done.

Cobbled together is about the best you can give it.

Re: ugliest, crappiest, worst flowing exhaust i have ever seen...for $280!!!

It seems to me that the only quality exhaust for a a 3rd gen is one that's engineered to suit the specific application.

"You get what you pay for."
"If you want something built right, you do it yourself."

And I use the word 'engineered' in the most respectful way.

Did you notice the part about how he welded a "diverter" in the T-intersection to "split the flow". It looks like he just tacked a piece of scrap metal in there, to restrict it even more.

Well by definition engineering is the practical application of ones knowledge so I guess what I was trying to say is that its a junky exhaust that is over priced and probably make your car sound like a bag of broken @$$holes. Not knocking on somebody that does something difficult and intelectually challenging for a living

Id like to see if anyone on this board bought one. The guy has 100% feedback and it looks like he's sold a ton of these systems.

There's probably a V6 or 305 car on this board running around with one, I'd bet the farm on it

Re: ugliest, crappiest, worst flowing exhaust i have ever seen...for $280!!!

first time i seen this thing at first sight it didn't seem to bad untill i seen the t (y) pipe, than i was like what the f***, how the heck is this thing suposed to give you hp lol. and for that price, i could make 2 sets of exhausts lol, including muflers. lol i had a hard time understanding just what i was looking at (the t pipe), like where does that go, after looking at it for like 3 mins, i start reading where it says no mufler needed, lol yhaaaaa........., now i know what that exhaust part is for.

Well, if the exhaust is designed for it, no muffler is a cheap way to get both great sound and performance. However, the way the thrid-gens are set up, it would be more beneficial to have a traditional y-pipe over the axle, and then run the pipes seperately.
