Exhaust Options.

I have a stock 350 in my '89 bird, and the exhaust is falling off. I've looked through some of the stickies and have come up with the viable options, but would like some input.

Option 1
  • Hooker 2055 headers
  • Classic Chambered Powerstick 3"
  • Stainless steal 3" piping
Option 2
  • Hooker 2055 headers
  • GMMG chambered catback system

Also should I replace the stock cat or leave it as is?

Re: Exhaust Options.

I have had the GMMG catback on my bone stock 350 for 4 years and have no complaints.

How does it sound compared to stock exhaust?

Also can anyone tell me roughly how much I would expect to pay to have all the 3" piping made?

The following is a direct-fit, three-inch system to include a high-flow cat. The sound is somewhat tame until I go to WOT, then the snarl is sufficiently nasty to make me smile. At cruise, the system is quiet enough that listening to the radio or carrying on a conversation isn't a problem.

Hooker 2055's (Jeg's 520-2055). Catco high-flow converter (Summit CTO-9118). Hooker catback (Summit HOK-16823HKR).
