Smog Pump Removal Question?
My car has a TPI 383 stroker with an SN93 Paxton supercharger. If I wanted to remove the smog pump and A.I.R. pipes and eventually the cat, would it hurt my supercharger?
Does any of this affect the supercharger at all?

Re: Smog Pump Removal Question?
I don't think the A.I.R./smog pump serves any purpose other than to preheat the cat when the engine is cold. If you take it off you'll have to run a delete pulley if you are running a serpentine belt pulley system..and plug off the AIR ports on the exhaust. Lots of info on deleting the smog pump here on thirdgen if you search for it.

Re: Smog Pump Removal Question?
That's what I figured, but I just wanted to make sure. I am running the vbelt system. So I can just remove the pump and the pipes. I noticed a lot of the info about the smog delete stuff on here. I just wanted to make sure, it wouldn't affect the supercharger.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Re: Smog Pump Removal Question?
I dont have a supercharger but I removed my cold start, egr, AIR pipes and smog pump. Tuned out in my chip for the AIR 10mv adder and turned off EGR enable and car runs 10x better. With right belt size for supercharge you should be fine and have less drag.
My AIR pump had failed and was seizing cause my surging idle that I thought was vac leaks for over a month.
