headers and exhaust
I am getting ready to install headers and dual pipes on my car. I was thinking it would be cool to run the pipes like on an old cobra, along the bottom below the doorsand sidecut out in front of the rear tires. My question is which do you think would work better 24" glasspacks or supertrapps. I don't really care too much how it sounds outside since I ride inside, but I would like some opinions of how quiet each would be and different ideas on what to do. I am definitely going with duals because one 3 inch in choking my 383 to death. Also which would be better two 2.25's or two 2.5's. Emissions are not an issue nor are inspections only performance cool looks. Thanks!!

I'm not sure on that, but I know two 2.5 with headers will definately outflow one 3". Two 2.25 pipes run like I am talking about would outflow one 3" bigtime. These pipes will be max of 8 foot long with almost no bending required I just have to say that those wonderful bends and kinks going over the rearend hurt us badly on flow. I just wonder how the 24" glasspacks will sound.

Be careful not to burn your leg when getting in and out of the car if it's running . Won't ground clearance be an issue for you here too? (You may have to cut holes into the ground effects if you have them.)

Hide the pipe behind the ground kit and then cut a nice hole in front of the rear tires and that would look real good. It will probably flow nice and sound great, like the Cobra in the picture.
And definetly... if the pipes are exposed... watch out for the hot pipes... touch your leg to that once and you will NEVER forget again, trust me!

Yes, that is very close to what I want except under the car. Ground clearance would not be an issue because there are two straight indentions right beside the ground effects. There is actually room to run behind the ground effects if you wanted too. I plan on doing this next week so we will see how it turns out. Thanks for the input guys.
