What can i use to cap/block a wideband o2 bung?
So im getting my Innovate LC-2 Wideband o2 bung welded in this friday. Yet im not really ready to actually install/wire the sensor yet. The instructions say do not leave a sensor in the exhaust stream when its not powered, so i was wondering what can i use to block/cap the bung while a sensor is not installed?
I attempted to go down to the local hardware store, and homedepot to find a small hex bolt to thread in place of the sensor for the time being, yet i couldnt get one to actually fit. The threads on the bolts there seemed to coarse(far apart) to actually fit this bung.
im wondering what else i could use to temp cap a o2 bung?
Any information or advice is greatly appreciated, thanks all
EDIT: i think i may have found something?
when im reading all these listings for o2 bung plugs they are saying "universal o2 sensor size '17mm hex head, M-18 thread size'"
Im tempted to order one lol.
EDIT #2: hmmm https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/exha...bung-size.html looks like i can order that.

02 sensors are thread size M18 X 1.5mm.
- You can use an old spark plug with the larger thread, that would fit.
- I suspect a hardware store would have an assortment of plugs to fit you needs.
- As jkris53406 mentioned, you can go to the parts store and get a 18mm oil pan drain plug to fit it too.

Yes, gasketed type. Just snap off the porcelain. And if you connected that spark plug to one of your plug wires,
you could shoot flames out of the exhaust pipe(s).
