Supertrapp mufflers

I just put true dual pipes on my car with 24" glasspacks and it sounds pretty good with the window rolled down just cruising or getting on it hard, but it is loud going down the highway. It isn't intolerable to me and sounds good, but my wife says it is too loud for her to ride in. I would like to get some opinions on putting Supertrapp mufflers on the ends of the pipes and removing them for track usage. If anyone has used them I want some opinions on how they sound. I don't know if there are any other tips or small removeable mufflers that would do the job so any advice is desired. Thank you

Supertrapps are glasspacks, however they use the defuser discs to change the pressure and flow within the system. By adding or subtracting discs, you can actually change the performance of your car. If you want Supertrapps just so you can remove the discs at the track, I think you are totally missing the point. Dump the glass packs, add some header dumps, and run a quiet(er) muffer for your wife. Just unplug the dumps at the drag strip. Supertrapps are more suited to people who want to road race or roundy-round it. I have them on my Camaro, and they are very loud with the number of discs I am running. Some people like the look, and others don't, something to think about.

I don't know of any muffler that would fit in the place of my glasspacks and be quieter. I got this exhaust for full performance usage and just want to tone it down a little for everyday driving. I am not looking to replace what I have on there now unless there is a similar sized, quieter option.

Car: yy wife, crazy.
Engine: 350, Vortecs, 650DP
Transmission: TH-350
Axle/Gears: 8.5", 3.42
They make these really cool little things called EAR PLUGS!!!

Or there's this other neat thing called a DOOR HANDLE!!!!!!

Instructions for door handle;

1. Grasp handle (while car is at a complete stop *) and pull toward inside of car.

2. After release mechanism has caused door to open approx. 2-3 inches, unhook passenger seat belt (if engaged), then simply push on wife's left shoulder with great force.

3. Next verify that wife is not getting up. Do so by looking in rear view mirror as you drive away. Then pull over onto the shoulder of the road so that you may safely close door.

4. Immediately go to nearest phone, dial 9-1-1 and report that you have seen the body of a woman on the side of the road.
*

"*" indicates this step is optional. :lala:

Seriously though, maybe you can weld a few collector flanges to form a coupler. Attach it to the existing tailpipes after you cut them shorter. Then attach a couple of quieter mufflers on there so that all you have to do is remove 6 wingnuts (3 per collector) and the mufflers are off.

And I wouldn't buy expensive mufflers for that. $15 Turbo flows should be fine, and they have a small case.
