Parting out Firebird, start the requests!
Just got my 83 Firebird in today, it has no engine/tranny. I am taking the seats, carpet, interior plastics, and likely the rear end and any good suspension. All painted surfaces are green.
What I know for sure is bad on the car: Driver's fender, center console/radio area. The hood has a huge, ugly hood scoop on it, with a hole cut for airflow. Dashpad is cracked. Shiftknob and steering wheel are both aftermarket garbage, but tell me if you want a chain steering wheel or green shift ****!
If what you want is not listed above, ask about it. I will take pics at your request. I will likely put up threads later with some of the better parts. HOWEVER, if you want something in the dash, ask about it. The dashboard has an 80mph speedo, and aside from the dashpad, everything seems to be in good shape. I don't really plan to spend the effort to take the dash apart politely unless someone wants a part in it.
Windows and doors from this car are manual, but I do have a pair of like-new window motors from another set of doors that have been scrapped.

Nope, everything from the radio area down is pretty much destroyed. (It was a drag racer, and I assume alot of controls/dials/whatever sat in that place). Everything above that is in surprisingly good shape.

Re: Parting out Firebird, start the requests!
It seems like you guys need everything I don't have! LOL. here is what I know will be available:
Doors: complete except for interior panels&plastics. They have manual mirrors and windows. Driver's door handle does not work on the outside of the door. I will sell them complete or by piece. Only very minor rust on bottom edges and do not appear to sag.
Dash: has 80 mph cluster. The Dash pad is cracked, and the radio area and below is gutted, but everything between the two is ok.
Body: rear deck and spoiler appear to be ok (base style spoiler), front bumper is in fairly good shape, needs paint, a few scratches may go deeper than paint, but nothing appears really severe. Rear lights are intact, but have green paint accents. Front headlight assemblies are complete, but I don't know how to verify if they work, since they are not in the car. Passenger's fender is undamaged, but will need a little rust removed on the bottom edge of it.
The car has an aftermarket moonroof/sunroof (whatever the type is that only opens about 3 inches manually)... i can remove it if you are interested. It did not appear to leak.
I also have 2 window motors, black base style hood, black rear deck w/spoiler (some rust on spoiler/deck), and black ground fx from the door of a 91 firebird available.
I might have door panel top rails available, if I don't break any. I will also list anything else that comes available as I take the car apart. Hope this helps! Feel free to ask if you don't see it listed.

Re: Parting out Firebird, start the requests!
I have yet to decide what I'm going to do with the wheels actually. The car being a former drag racer, the rears are really fat, and the fronts are fairly skinny. The chrome is a bit tarnished, but should clean up. I'll take some pics of them today. If someone makes a good offer, I'll probably sell them.

Re: Parting out Firebird, start the requests!
Ok, first is a pic of one of the wheels. the car is buried in its own parts, so I was only able to get a pic of the one which is off the car (tire is flat). They seem to look better in person than in pics:
Then a few pics of the front bumper. I'll PM you more pics if interested. I'd say 98% of the scratches and stuff you see don't go below the paint. There's only a few small area's that would need a very light layer of filler. There are no major cracks or damage to the front bumper. I also have the actual metal bumper with honeycomb on it, both are undamaged:
Like I said, this is by far the worst looking spot on the bumper, but its only paint, except for one scratch that goes a little deep. Its the area in the very corner that looks sort of orange:
And finally a pic of the front of the car, with the metal bumper sitting on top of it:

Interested in the metal bumper, if its aluminum. If a magnet doesn't stick to it then its aluminum.
Interested in the center tail light if its tinted.

Re: Parting out Firebird, start the requests!: SOLD
Wow, sorry I never closed this thread guys. There's been a few deaths in the family and my car projects were the very last thing on my mind. I'm just getting back to the boards after quite a few months away. Anyways:
Car was sold in its entirety to a local buyer. While I might still have a few small things laying around unintentionally, there is nothing available at this point. Sorry if I left anyone hanging.
