Hood shipping
I am looking for a company that ships hoods. I was recommended Estes, but they want approx. $250 for shipping from FL to OH. Is this a reasonable price (I thought it would be approx $100-150)? Do you have any recommendations for other shipping companies to check with?

Re: Hood shipping
If its fairly flat and you can get it boxed up or build a wood framing to ship it in, then you could do Greyhound.
I bought a fiberglass tonneau cover for my S10 and the guy shipped it with them. Took about 4-5 days and no problems. If you have a Greyhound terminal near you, then you just go by and pick it up.
He shipped from New Jersey to North Florida. About $100 I think it was. But he also made a wood framing to ship it in and that weighed more

Re: Hood shipping
Make a wooden box and ship it Greyhound is the only way to do it for a reasonable price.
Check both cities newspapers, craiglist etc. for people traveling with a empty truck, trailer etc. I got lucky 1 time and found someone traveling from Atlanta to Tampa bay and back with a empty trailer and he picked up a complete 91 TA hatch at my house and delivered it to the guy in Tampa bay for $50.

Re: Hood shipping
I've heard of this also, go to a large truck stop like the Flying J and post on the boards that you are looking for someone with room to transport a car hood from this city to this city and a time frame.
