Parting out 1985 Z28

Hey yall, im parting out a 1985 Z28, its gray exterior with a red interior, basically, if you need anything let me know, the only thing really missing out of this car is the tranny. but i don't have the time or money to put into this car, and i figure i can part it out and use the money for my 1992 RS.

Like i said, its red interior with a grey exterior, and has T-tops, headliner is pretty much perfect (i haven't taken it out, so im not 100% sure), and all weather stripping is good. i have 3 matching rims (gold) and one that doesn't match.

Let me know if you need parts, i can see what i have.

FYI, tail lights, dash pad, and some other parts my not be for sale due to the fact i may need spares for my RS, dash is for sale, but not the top dash pad. the dash pad in my RS has a crack in it and a corner thats cracked if you want to buy that one thats fine, but the one in the Z28 is uncracked and is going in the RS when i do a heater core fix this winter.

Car is in De Pere, Wisconsin. I can ship parts.

Also due to the fact that i have school, work, and dial-up internet at home, I might be slow at responding to requests, but please bare with me and i will check as often as i can.

If you would like to email me, that would probably be better than posting here, my email is phantombandman@yahoo.com

I will also try and keep this thread updated as to what is sold.

Thank you,
adriancamaro

---email me for pics thanks.

Re: Parting out 1985 Z28

One other thing i forgot to mention about this car, it is stock 305 with a 4 barrel. im pretty sure the 4 barrel will work on a 350. but don't quote me on that one. i also have a complete stock 92 RS rearend (axle), with good break pads, and almost new drums. i have a catallitic converter that is good, and im pretty sure i have a radiator that will fit into an RS (i can't remember correctly if it does or not).

No the car is not a 5 speed. It was originally an auto with a 700R4 tranny, but now does not have a transmission in it.

It is the black plastic cover that surrounds the hood latch in the front of the car.

Weird, I have the same tear on the passenger side on mine too. What I really need, though is the plastic sleeve for the driver's side stub belt. Someone sat in my car on top of the stub and broke the plastic. If this part is in good shape, I'll take it.

The measurements are in the pic (should be the same on both sides), as for the grille, i have the one with the two openings for the fog lights, i think thats the Z28 grille (not sure) but it says "Camaro" in the middle.

Re: Parting out 1985 Z28

Here are the requested headliner pics, pm sent.

the green circles are where the headliner board is ripped, the ones by the front console are not all the way through but it is weaker there, however the one by the seatbelt slot is all the way through and the piece is hanging on by the fabric. Not sure what your plans are with this, if you want to recover it or not, but im sure the pieces can be fixed. No pieces are missing, they are just torn.

From what i remember (im at work now not home) the hood isnt bad, but there is rust on the inside where it hangs over the headlights, so if you want to use it, that part would have to be fixed, i can get some pics to you later, shoot me an email so i remember, i check that more than this site. phantombandman@yahoo.com

How much for the two front spindles with rotors shipped to 39401. Rotors can be shot. I just need some to cut up so I don't have to cut my stock ones up that have good rotors on them.. and the passenger side window sweep..

I just came into possession of a berlinetta front bumper cover (the one without the gfx) and a rear bumper cover. not sure what you mean by nose cone. shoot me a list of what you need, and i'll let you know what i have.

Have a pass. side fender with a crease in it, right above the gfx, not sure of the condition you want it in.

Not sure if the spindles are shot or if they are still good, rotors should be good, i'll take a look at them and let you know.

Note to all: It might take me a while to get back to you with the info you need but I'll do my best. Thanks
