Heat sinks for TPI
I know the tpi/sr/hrs, etc have built on heat sinks with the fins on the top, but I was at a local electronics surplus store the other day and saw some pretty big heavy duty heat sinks.
Has anyone ever put on ontop of their intake? (even just inbetween races at the track?)
And speaking about that subject, what about smaller heat sinks places in other well-thought out places, like the calipers, oil pan, tranny pan, rear end, etc...????

You can get aluminum tranny pans and diff covers that are finned for that very reason. I don't know how much it would help on the intake, as the air in the engine bay is hot anyway and likely wouldn't cool the intake much. Putting one on the brakes would be tough to do as space is limited, but the oilpan would be a good idea if you could put them somewhere they wouldn't get knocked off.

If you're really that worried over intake heat. Make sure to have the oil valley deflector on (which yours should have, but some aftermarket intakes do not) to keep the hot oil off the underside of the intake.
Also you could try looking into Jet-Hot coatings. They use to offer the service of coating the inside and outside of intakes for a reasonable cost.
