Re: My little project that snowballed outta control...

Updates will be coming soon. In the process of getting a fabricated 9 inch rear ordered with ladder bar suspension we still might keep stock style suspension, whatever is easier. There is not enough length to do a good ladder bar setup. There are a couple other projects in the shop so we are waiting for them to get done before we put the camaro back on the rotisserie.

Re: My little project that snowballed outta control...

I got all the suspension parts from Spohn performance. I was ready to jump back on this project, but I blew up the motor in my 87 Cougar. Now I am doing ANOTHER motor AGAIN! I haven't had much luck this year, 4 motors in 3 different vehicles.

Re: My little project that snowballed outta control...

Ok here are the rear wheels and tires mocked up and in place how it is gonna sit. We are gonna go with a 53" wide rear end. Now just gotta put the order in and wait for a rear end to be fabricated....

Re: My little project that snowballed outta control...

Ok I have had some real bad luck in the past three years. I went from being rich and not worrying about money to losing everything and having to resort back to working 2 or 3 jobs to keep my car hobby going. Well I got some terrible news yesterday. The guy who owned the shop and was the mind behind this build has committed suicide and I don't know what will become of his shop. Please don't worry if I don't make sense, it is 9:40 am and I have been drinking and crying all night. I was talking to Renee a couple day ago and we were talking about a close call I had at work, I told him that I would like him to have my cars and finish them one day, and he told me the same about his two cars. I seen him yesterday and he was trying to flag me down, but I had a bank appointment and didn't stop to talk to him. I phoned back and 5:30 pm but he has already killed himself. We had the fabricated rear end ordered and were going to a 4 link setup. Now I got some other things to take care of before I can think about myself and my projects. I will do whatever it takes to finish his stuff, he put himself before everyone else all the time and sacrificed a lot of things to make people who were close to him happy, I hope I can do the same for him.

Sounds like life came down hard on you. Get some rest, talk to someone who cares, have some beers and good luck.

Wow. Sorry about your turn of events, loss of fortune and more importantly, loss of a close friend. Unfortunately life has a way of messing up even the best of plans. Good luck and please keep us posted.

Hope your life has turned around and going in a better direction now. Between my dad and I, we have 18 cars and trucks, most of them projects but 7 are driven regularly.
