Rear Wheelhouses...inner fenders...?
Ok. Since the frame is fixed, I'm moving forward...somewhat. The rear wheelhouses or inner fenders or whatever they're called..are rusted out pretty good. Where can I find replacements? The junkyards around here do not have the parts...they have Camaros just not with these parts that are worth anything.

Crap...I'll look around some more. There are some parts cars around here that are privately owned, so I guess I'll check them out. I'm pretty convinced that I don't want to tub the rear. If I have to, I have to. I want the rust gone as much as possible.

You could always cut the wheel tubs to fit what you want to replace instead of doing a full tub. It's been a few years since I checked the price of wheel tubs, but I think new tubs are still going to be cheaper than finding a used wheel housing in good shape in PA.

I would recommend that you install minitub's. You'll be ahead in the long run. Mine even fit under the rear plastics. Which can fit a 30x13.50 tire

I'll try and get pics. I am a little short on time with work, summer courses, and planning an event for veterans at the university. I may just mini-tub it. It will prbably go better with the look I'm planning on.

isn't there a plastic inner that goes in the rear wheel house? I don't see any mounting spots or holes...

If your looking for a platic fender liner like the ones in the front there isnt one in the rear of the car at all accept the driver side that covers the filler neck for the gas tank. I thought you needed the metal behind it to redo yours

Re: Rear Wheelhouses...inner fenders...?
I thought that maybe there was a plastic insert in the rear wheel houses and they were just missing. The metal isn't too too bad. Maybe it just needs to be cleaned up and re-sprayed. I think the undercoating (if that's what is there; it doesn't flake off) is throwing me off.

Re: Rear Wheelhouses...inner fenders...?
I forgot to add...I also have to get the rocker panels patched under the doors. The drivers side was the worst side. I don't see why that is, but hey, it's a project. I'm probably going to order the wheel tubs and have them installed since I don't know how to weld.
