Road Race 87 GTA......Teaser
Work in progress. Though about doing a build thread but this is a slow and expensive project so...
right now its ugly and far from finished haha but I thought I would tickle your fancy with a photo of a recent seat mockup pic

Re: Road Race 87 GTA......Teaser
Just a few thoughts. Unless you really need the Overdrive, for the trans go with a tex101/jerico. It's cheaper to buy a used NASCAR transmission than to build a t56 to do the same thing. You can't really use 5/6 gears anyway roadracing and it's HEAVY.
On the manual rack with 335's and all the scrub you get with our strut setup... I wouldn't suggest it, but maybe you're more of man than I am. I can easily bench over 300 and in autocrossing there's no way I could do it. Also for autocross, the 12:1 box is already way too slow, so slowing down the ratio isn't the best option either. A racing rack and pinion is on my want list too.
See my build thread, not perfect, but IMHO CCW L20's or Classics look really good in gold.
Final thought, there's a decent amount of info over here in bits and pieces, but FRRAX is a great site for this sort of build. You have to login to see the good stuff.
