1989 Turbo Trans Am GTA - 20th Anniversary - Indy 500 Pace Car - #373 - NY 11738
My TTA (Firebird Trans AM GTA) is car # 373 with 50,221 miles. I am the second owner and I have had the car for over 6 years (bought it Sep. 2002). The car was originally from Florida and doesn't not have any license plate screws in the front bumper or any rust anywhere.
The rear spoiler is not cracked and the car has a stock turbo tweak chip, which makes it run and idle very smoothly, and a K&N air filter (I have the stock air filter housing). It basically a brand new 20 year car. The rear main seal just started to leak (this seems to be common with these V6 turbos).
It’s free of any accidents, rebuilds, paint work or interior work (no stains or rips). It’s all original. Original engine, transmission, exhaust and catalytic converter. A/C, heat, horn, lights, blinkers.. .all work. Its still has the original Lexan T-Tops (not glass). I have the Indy 500 door/windshield sticker and owner’s manual. And I have PHS documenation and a letter to shown its a TTA and car # 373. I have a clean/clear AutoCheck report dated 2007. I have clean/clear NYS title in my name.
I am 36 years old and never beat on the car and I bought it from an older Florida man in his 60's. I don't even get on the turbos much because I actually like the way the V6 drives and runs alone. The handling is tight and steering is smooth. But it’s nice to know that you have all the power in the world to take off like no other car that I have ever driven and this is stock. I can only think of what a total moded car could do but that’s not my style.
You can call me at 516-851-6276 to talk about the car anytime. I love the car but with 2 kids (4 and a 1 year old) and a wife that hates all my toys it’s just not in the cards to keep it right now. I would rather see someone else use and enjoy the car like it should be. Asking $15,750.
The car is located in Farmingville NY 11738 at my moms’ house in her garage for the winter.

I spy an 82 Vette and you are selling this one? LOL might regret it. If you will take a grand for it I will be there in March. JK i know you want more than a grand for it. Damn me for being a broke college student, I am really looking for one of these.

The 82 Collectors Edition Corvette was sold back in Oct 08'. I also sold my 78' SE TA, 84' TA, 87' Mustang GT Convertible and my 72' Mercedes 350SL. The TTA is the last to go. But hopefully no one will buy it at my price and I can kept and then the wife can't say a thing because at least I am trying to sell it.

I'd keep the TTA and sell this. But each to his own. I will probably get a TTA eventually. Hope you get what you are asking for it or even better hope your wife lets you keep it.

The only reason I am not selling the Celica is because it is not mine. It is my mothers. She is the original owner and is 70 years old. I picked out the car in 1991 for her and she loves it. I also love it. It has 140K miles and all original, paint, engine, trans, muffler, stocks, bushings.... It is a perfect 2nd car when needed. It starts right up and goes. I use it now and then when I am between classic cars. When I am done with it it goes back to my mom and she uses it to go to work, church and ran around in.

Thanks for all the of complaints. Its really a beautiful car. I just took it out of storage and changes all fuilds and got it inspected. I forgot how much I enjoy the car.
I have received alot of offers and PM's but have not received my $15K yet. I am thinking I am going to kept the car now at least for the summer and then sell again or just wait a few years, enjoy the car and maybe sell for $18K+. But if someone gives me my $15K I will sell.
