Car: 1989 Firebird Formula 350
Engine: 5.7L V8 TPI
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 9-Bolt, 3.27
FS: '89 Formula 350/383, Carlisle PA - NICE
Needs new home: 1989 Firebird Formula 350/383. 149,XXX on the body, less than 700 miles on motor and rebuilt 700R4. Yet another 383, just dropped in the car. Runs but really needs some tuning to be a dependable muscle machine. I don't have the energy for a 383 TPI car anymore, time for somebody else to deal with it.
Dynatech headers, Flowmaster cat-back, MSD 6A ignition box and Streetfire distributor, Optima battery. Radiator and fans are relatively new GM units, less than 2,000 miles.
Car is in fantastic cosmetic shape, it's a real looker. Maui blue paint is 2 years old, same with weather stripping and decals. Absolutely no rust or dents. Only blemish is bird on the nose, just needs a new $5 decal. Correct wheels are in great shape. BFG g-Force Super Sport tires are BRAND NEW, less than 500 miles.
Interior is an 8/10. Dash cracked a few months ago, will replace myself if it doesn't sell quickly. All other plastic and upholstry is great, most switches and buttons are new. All electric options work flawlessly.
The bad: driver's seat power unit is stuck in rear position and back rest ratchet is broken, not a problem if you're 6'3" like me.... Will also look into fixing if not sold quickly.
Car is inspected in PA til 08/2010. Located in Carlisle, 17013. Will not deliver. Asking $4,500, but please come check it out and make an offer. I've owned the car for about 15 months. Bought from a small dealer in Marysville, TN... accepted as a trade in.
