Same "won't start" situation just happened to a friend with a Grand Am. It wouldn't start unless you put starting fuel in the throttle body. The problem with this one was the built-in security system. The key was not making the proper link in the electrical system and essentially the car's computer thought it was being stolen ... i.e. being cranked without the right key in it ... The computer simply tells the fuel system not to work.
The bypass for this in the case of the Grand Am was to turn the key to the on position. All the normal lights on the dash would go through their sequence except the security light. It would stay on because of the problem with the ignition key. The manual said leave the key in the on position for 10 minutes or until the security light on the dash goes out. Turn the key to the off position, remove it, re-insert it and the car cranked and ran normally. This might work for you. It's easier to sell something running than something that won't. Good luck.
