1988 Trans Am GTA Notchback - $5,000
I didn't think I'd ever want to sell this car but I have no time to enjoy it and life has gotten in the way. Let me also add, I do NOT need to sell the car, that is why price is firm.
It's an actual factory 1988 Notchback car. Only 718 were built for sale in '88, 624 US, 74 Canada. (1 1989 GTA was built for press purposes, hence why some state 719 built).
The car does have salvage history. Damage was to the front driver corner and was repaired in the mid 2000's. I purchased the car about 5 years ago out of CT after it sat about 8 years in a garage. It sat then due to being rear ended by a Harley Davidson motorcycle. I fixed the majority of that damage and made the car roadworthy. Does need new tires.
Its a Flame red metallic hardtop, auto trans, L98 engine, analog dash, cloth beechwood tan interior. Odometer reads around 156k miles. I was told that is accurate for the car, but the motor at least had been rebuilt previously so lower miles, I just don't know the actual number. I did get a copy of the original invoice from GM media archives. That shows it is a true Notchback, option code AA8, and exterior/interior colors are correct. Matching VIN tag is also still on hatch to confirm originality.
Since I got the car, I replaced the gas tank, battery, fuel sender, rear shocks, front calipers, fuel filter, sun visors, and some other stuff. I'll have to look back and make a detailed list soon. I also put a correct beechwood interior in it since it was black when I bought the car. It has the correct rear seat backs, with integrated headrests. Also included is a spare tire cover panel correct for a notchback(decal inside).
Issues:
Needs Paint, had been repainted previously, and clear coat is failing. Has minor leak from trans while sitting. Needs a tune up/oil change, seat belt front receivers are cracked, door sill plastics are ok, but not great. Steering wheel leather is cracked badly. I actually took that wheel from my other GTA so it would be correct. Also needs correct wheel center caps, needs tires. The radio is not connected/correct for a gta. Some surface rust by passenger rear marker light, thats why I got a spare 1/4 panel. rear tail panel is still pretty beat up underneath bumper and trunk panel, so thats why a spare clip is included. Rust hole behind driver front wheel well to driver footwell. I might be forgetting something else. I would recommend coming to see the car in person and I'd go over it in more detail then.
The car is not prefect by any means but does have a ton of potential and was running/driving. It's been garage kept since I bought it.
I'm asking $5,000.
The price is firm and not negotiable.
Sale includes a GTA leBra front mask, spare used rear bumper, used spare passenger 1/4 panel, used white front bumper cover, used spare rear clip(from rear marker lights back), and acdelco trans filter/pan gasket kit.

Still looking to sell. Too many cars not enough time or room. I may budge off $5k, but any offers would have to be in person.

I reached out last time. I am interested and in Nashville. Joe 2707765512. I will send a truck for it if we can get together on price.

I figured I'd bump this again. The car is still available since I haven't really pushed to advertise it. I go back and forth with selling it or keeping it. But it comes down to the fact that I just don't need another project sitting around. I'm currently doing a tune up on it and looking to gather some parts for it, all of which would be included with it. Price is still 5,000 and that is firm.

Liquid black leather shoe polish will make that wheel look like new - I have an 89 GTA.
