Accel Super-Ram base manifold G.P.

Hello everyone,

I am trying to put together a group purchase for the Accel Super-Ram base part #74197. I have had discussions with Rich from Cruzin Performance and here are the details we have worked out.

If I get 10 people to commit, our price will be $359 and if I get 20 or more, the price drops to $349. This is a significant price drop when compared to big mail order places. Please note, this group purchase is for the base only, the plenum and runner kit are not offered in this GP.

All interested parties can email me ( quickcamaro@comcast.net )and I will form a list.....as people are added to the list, I will post the updated list here. Please, I need serious people only, no tire kickers. Also, you will not be added to the list by simply posting a response here, I must receive an email from you. In the email, please include your name, thirdgen.org screen name, your address and the quantity you will be purchasing.

Depending on the amount we get to commit (which determines price), I will then ask you to send your payment and Rich will ship as soon as it is received. Forms of payment accepted will be as follows:
Postal service money order
Certified cashier's check

I will not accept personal checks, cash, paypal or credit card orders at this time.

As it stands right now, I would like to run this GP for one month to gage on how many people are interested in participating. So, then we will shoot for a cut-of date of April 23rd.

I would like to thank Rich from Cruzin Performance for helping us make this a reality.

Thanks everybody,
James

As stated above, this GP is for the base only. Sorry but we have not worked out anything on the runners and plenum. Thanks for looking.

I'm in for a base, and would be interested in a plenum/runners GP also.

Could you email me all your info as requested above and I will add you to the list.....or should I say, you will be the first on the list

I was hoping there would be more people interested so we could get this off the ground.

Spread the word people!!

If you have time, go back and see what Rich says for the entire TPI thing. I am also looking for super ram, but it wouldn't make much sense to buy the base and then try to assemble the rest of pieces from other places.

and looks like I am not the only one who thinks this way

I'm entering the parts selection phase for the Formy's second engine and the decision between big TPI runners/worked upper and the Superram runners/plenum affects the rest of the build. I am just finishing building another car and I want to get it right the first time, this time...interested in seeing how this goes.

Well, you can't really purchase it in a kit with the base/runners/plenum......the base will always be seperate....so that's really not an issue. You will not find anywhere a better price for a brand new in the box Super Ram base than $359.

ACCEL DFI Catalog

You are referring to the base, part #74197. Isn't #77131 on page 6 a complete kit? Summit sells it and for $3200 it better include everything.

The #74131 is a complete SuperRam system and includes the base manifold, plenum/runners, injectors, throttle body, computer, harness, etc. It is a complete, "stand-alone" system.
The SuperRam base manifold that is being offered in this GP is #74197 and the SuperRam plenum/runner kit is #74196. They are sold as separate parts and not as an assembly.

Seems we are all on the same page, but I am not sure if the page is in the same book.

I know exactly what is being offered in this GP and all I said in the original post, is if you modify the GP to include 77131 (which is the complete setup with the base ), I'd be interested. Otherwise, I do not need the base, when I would still need to get everything else.

406TPI stated that base is always separate and I just pointed out accel catalog that lists 77131 as a complete kit with everything you need to swap from a carb which is what I am doing.

Umm.....Correct me if I'm wrong but if you re-read your original post, you didn't mention anything about #77131. You said:

Referring to the parts as "the entire TPI thing" doesn't explain what you are looking to purchase. The others are interested in the #74196 plenum/runner kits to complement the #74197 manifold.

If you are interested in starting another GP for the #77131, I would suggest you contact Rich and see if that could be set up. I seriously doubt however you will find enough people with the cash or the need to make it happen.

VILeninDM....whatever it is that your are doing......I still think you would be better off buying a base off of this GP....you will be money ahead. But whatever..it's your choice and it's your cash. We are just trying to help people out here with this GP.

Hey 88blackgta...I know a guy with a 1988 black gta...only his is much cooler than yours...his is a RARE notchback edition.

well, now that I read my post again, I guess it was as clear as mud. That's what you get for consistently being on this board between 1:30 and 3 am instead of sleeping.

sorry for the confusion, guys.

I finally brained up and looked at what other dealers are charging, and Cruzin has one helluva price. I will know by the 18th if I am in on this one.

I seems as though there wasn't enough interest to do a "traditional" GP. However, for those who still want a manifold at the GP price of $359+shipping, can still contact me and we will get you taken care of. We have sold a few so far to guys who really wanted them. If the day comes where we reach 20 units sold, everyone who purchased a manifold will get a $10 refund back to them. Sound fair?
