Due to several requests from board members, TPI Parts will be running another group purchase on ABS Headliners, Sunvisors, and Sail Panel Kits for 82-92 Camaros and Firebirds.
Our cost has increased since we offered the first headliner group purchase earlier this year, but we will keep the group purchase price the same as before, at $210 if we can meet a 10 order minimum.
Several members have asked about including just a headliner without sail panels or sunvisors in the GP, so we will be doing so as well. They will be $155.
Selecting Your Color
Although we have a color chart available online with all color options, we recommend that each customer contact us prior to ordering so we can mail you free fabric samples. Colors will look slightly different on you rmonitor than they do in person. If you do not request free samples, please be certain of your color choice. Headliner kits are made to order, and we cannot offer refunds or modify orders once they have been made.
To request samples, you can PM or email us with your name, address, and the color tones you would like (grey tones, beige tones, etc..)
How To Order
To order, complete the checkout process on our website, www.tpiparts.net and enter the appropriate coupon code (see below) in the coupon entry box. Please be sure to mention your thirdgen username in the comments box so we can update this thread with a list of members that have ordered.
For Hardtop and Ttop Kits, use coupon code GP01
If you are ordering a Ttop kit and would like to add a matching set of sunshades for $55 additional, use coupon code GP02
For just a Hardtop or Ttop Headliner (not the kit), use coupon code GP03
If you are ordering just a Ttop headliner (not the kit) and would like to add a matching set of sunshades for $55 additional, use coupon code GP04
We will not charge any credit cards until we reach the 10 order minimum and the deadline has passed. If we do not meet the 10 order minimum, all orders will be cancelled, and no credit cards will be charged.
Deadline
All orders must be received by midnight on August 31st.
Shipping
No orders will ship until the deadline has passed and we have atleast 10 orders. Kits usually ship within 3-10 business days via UPS Oversize 2, and UPS will take a few days to deliver them on top of that. Shipping within the US will be a flat $54. If you are in Canada, please PM or email for a shipping quote before ordering.

ditto on that i just need the t-top headliner..any chance we can get one going for just that?
If they can't, you could probably sell the extra peices and come out to a good price on just a headliner. It's nice to replace all the pieces though so there's not color variation from the visors to the sail panels.

I have a 1989 IROC with t-tops and the interior is light gray. I also have a 1990 IROC with tan interior. Would you happen to know the color match for those or could you send samples to me before i place an order. thanks.
I hate to be the pessimist here since I need a t-top headliner too, but I would consider $15 off of a $225 kit to be a really crappy group purchase price, especially for a site like this. Maybe when a realistic group purchase comes around i'll be interested. I cant believe people are so anxious considering its barely even a 6% discount. 6% is pitiful, and whoever brokered this deal should be ashamed. Typical group purchases should be in the area of at least 10% upwards of 25%. but it appears that this is more about someone making a profit buying cheap and selling high, and a few people getting suckered into excitement over $15. What a shame.

energycontacts, PM or email me with your mailing address and we can send out some samples your way.
briwar454, yes the ttop sunvisors are curved like the originals. The hardtop sunvisors are flat though.
chads89gta, we have a color chart available on our website that you can look at, but we don't recommend ordering just by looking at the color through your monitor. It will look slightly different online than in person. If you PM us with your name and address, and the color tone you are interested in, we can mail you some free fabric samples so you can match them to your interior.
Ripped, aftermarket headliners do not use mounting clips like the original GM headliners. They are held in place by the dome light, sunvisor brackets, and surrounding trim. If you are looking to have your headliner mount like factory, we recommend you reupholster it yourself, or you can have your local upholstery shop recover it for you.

hgffrank, all aftermarket headliners/headliner kits are manufactured by the same company, regardless of the vendor. This means that you will find the exact same product regardless of where you order from. If you take a look around, you will find that the kit is typically priced between $250-$285, and you will find shipping charges as high as $80. If our normal price was in this range, offering them at $210 would be a substantial savings. Since our normal price is much lower at $225, and we aren't making money off shipping, we don't have enough margin to offer a large discount. There is nothing shameful going on here, and no one is being taken advantage of.

I believe all PMs/free sample requests have been replied to. If someone didn't get a reply, please contect me.
We have a little over a week left, and I've noticed that none of the folks that had been asking for us to run the GP again have ordered. If anyone is on the fence about whether or not to order and might need samples, please ask now so there is enough time for you to receive them before the deadline.
I am hoping to get in this, just have to figure out my funds . I see these headliners are ABS, that means that they are plastic (the mounting board only I assume), correct? Will they cut down noise as much as the stock foam type ones?
i bet it doesn't make a big difference. i have no head liner in my car (it broke apart a few months ago). i can't hear any major change without it. keep in mind i have t tops. there is some sound dampening in a couple of key spots above the head liner. i would make sure they are all still there. lastly, i feel that these cars are pretty loud on the inside no matter what.

sorry about the double post!!
there seems to be foam on the sample material that tpi sent me.

Yeah, I forgot about the t-tops. These cars are pretty loud by nature. I took out my center console and carpet and now I hear the tranny hum.
After giving this some though, I am going to have to pass since I need to save money for new paint/seals/body kit addition
Yes, you can place your order now if you like, and then verify your color choice once we mail you some samples. Just include a note in the comments box during checkout that you will be contacting us later to verify your color choice.
cheyenne383, I don't have any pics to send you, but if you look through the interior board here on the site you should be able to find plenty. All new headliners for thirdgens are made by the same company, so its the same product regardless of who you order from.
wilyk9, we do have the bare ABS board available, but it isn't included in the GP. Its not a substantial savings over the precovered headliner by itself, and shipping is just as expensive as a precovered headliner. If you would like more details, feel free to email or PM me.
GP ends today at midnight. I will be out of town tomorrow, so I may not get a chance to post until Sunday on whether or not the GP was successful. However, unless quite a few folks are waiting to order last minute, it doesn't look like we will meet the 10 order minimum.
check your rpo codes in the glove box or either in the back trunk box on the left hand side in the rear for the rpo codes. decode them here or www.camarosource.ca to find out what color interior your car came with.
There wasn't enough interest to reach the 10 order minimum on the last group purchase we did, and the previous ones struggled to reach 10 orders as well.
If someone wants to start a new thread and put together a list of interested board members, we will consider opeining up a new Group Purchase if it seems we can meet a 10 order minimum. However, we won't be able to match the previous GP pricing because our cost has increased twice since then.
