88 Gta W62??
How do I tell if my car has the RPO code:
W62 : ORNAMENTATION, AERO PACKAGE
It no longer has the RPO codes on the car. Need to know so I can order the right air dam for my car. Thanks!!

My 91 has 2 RPO stickers. One inside the center console. And one inside the compartment in the back of the car. ON the drivers side. the compartment on mine is plastic and has a lock on it. I put my jumper cables in it. I'm not sure how to explain it any better. If I can find a pic I'll post it.

I looked everywhere on the car for it, I see where it used to be but isnt there anymore. My car is a 88 GTA, is that one of the standard rpo's for a GTA? What is w62 exactly??
They should make rpo's like the VIN and make it illegal to remove!! This is really anoying...

I think the aero package came on Trans-AMs and Trans-AM GTA's. It came with the ground effects and the aero wing spoiler. The spoiler also came on Formula Firebirds but they didn't get the GFX.
I think that's what it is. If I had RPO's for my car I would tell you for sure. I have a Trans-AM. Not a GTA.

Thats kinda what I was thinking, cause the one on the standard firebird would be shorter, the one for the car with the front GFX would need to be longer so it could scoop up the air. Any one else agree/disagree?

My Trans Am has the code as well. Seems to be for the body kits on Trans Am and GTAs.

All GTA's have W62. It's the ground effect pieces around the bottom edge of the car, all the way around. All Trans Am's should have it too. Was optional on Firebird towards the end of the 3rdgen, but I don't know what years. Formula couldn't have it at all, as far as I know. So that covers the 4 Firebird submodels of the 87-92 era.
