I just watched the movie Taking lives , and there is a black Camaro in it! I think it was an 88/89 Iroc, but I'll have to watch it again to make sure.

don't you just hate that, when they wreck nice muscle cars. like on mythbusters they stunk up that 80's corvette. Now nobody will ever drive it again. it was a mint lookin vettte too!

Besides I'm sure the fear factor cars are just some beat down turd piles. Every story you read in the magazines about movie cars lets you know the truth about the cars used. Most often than not they are beat down rust buckets that are filled with bondo and given a nice paint job.

Sure it sucks to see them destroyed but they are usually beyond hope.

the show smallville seems to destroy camaros pretty often. the friend drives one and some how he gets a new one in a different color that blows up. the show fastlane blew up a yellow iroc as I remember too.

there was also a yellow IROC in 8 mile, looked nice and clean. Funny thing about F&F, there wasnt any actual 3rd gen, however, when Paul walker was sneaking around the garages and Vin Diesel caught him, the scene where he was pointing a shotgun at him, I notice a hood to a 82-84 Z28 in the backround, the one that has the lowered non-louvered vents. I pointed that out to my g/f, she thinks i need to be medicated.

The 3 yellow camaros from FEAR FACTOR are at pick your part in sun valley CA, I was looking for a part and in the middle of the yard i see 2 brigh yellow camaros with fear factor. Then 2 rows down was another fear factor camaro. All 3 had 2.8's and were gutted.

Not a thirdgen but what about the 79 Trans Am at the begining of police acadmey "spelling" Why did all 2nd gen Trans Am's and thirdgens get in soo many movies but the 4th gen is not really in any movie. Only one i can think of is 10 things i hate about you how the chick backes into the dudes red camaro.

What was the name of that Mark Wahlberg movie where he drove that yellow Formula in a 10 minute car chase? I think it was The Big Hit, but I could be wrong. That poor Formula got it's a*s kicked, shot up, and drove off a cliff. That was a cool thirdgen chase scene.

What about the Tv mini series from 1990, stephen king's IT.They drove a red IROC convertible and the car was in the movie quite a bit>It must have been brand new because it looked perfect.

Anybody remember the show 'Get a Life' with Chris Elliot. During the opening REM song (stand)? he rides his bike into the front of a red early 80's 3rd gen camaro while looking at some lady while she bends over to pick of the newspaper right as the song ends.

Also can't forget the 3rd gen Transam in 'Big trouble in little China'

I haven't seen 2 fast 2 furious, but i'm guessing the moral of the story is....if you drive an american muscle car, you will wreck it.
I'll watch it sooner or later and see if i'm right.

nah they dont wreck, the main character and a friend races two muscle cars for pinkslips, and the ric ers win the race by cheating.

There was a yellow IROC in an episode of Hardcastle and McCormick ('85?) and there was a chase with a black T/A in a different episode also.

Back in the '90s there was a show or movie where the main guy drove a black '91 or '92 Z28 and he was like a PI or something. I wish I knew what that was. Anyone recall?

Yes, Next of Kin featured Patrick Swayze driving an '88 Grey Sport Coupe. Also I recently saw the movie Rock Star. Early in the film the confrontation scene between the two bands in the parking lot there is a Brown or Dk. Gold '82-'84 Z28 in the background.

that car was pretty awesome... the short action scenes it was in were pretty cool.... i agree with you though, i wish it was in the movie more.

The first Eddie Murphy remake of the Nutty Professor has a third gen Camaro in it. It is in the scean when he is driving a Dodge Viper, He blows past it while approching a traffic light.

There is also a nice red Iroc in Boyz in the Hood when they are all hanging out on the strip. I believe it drives by as soon as the scene starts.

Also the scene in Too Fast 2 Furious was stupid. The z/28 and the challenger are ahead by about 40 car lengths with like 200 ft to go / they just hit their NOS and make up the difference to win

Just saw a commercial for Nu-Finish where in the boneyard an old grey camaro gets dropped to the ground, they polish the hood, then run it through 50 car washes and it comes out a brand new Maxima, lol.

There is a commercial for some movie ive seen a couple times, there is a clip of a car crashing, or atleast driving through a mound of somthing, and it looks like a light blue camaro.

Yup I saw that wax commercial too, isn't it amazing? They demonstrate the amazing power of a rag and some type of liquid to whipe away dust.

i was thinking to myself, why the hell did they have to use a thirdgen for that? i'm sure that the scene totalled that car, it musta landed hard and tweaked the unibody of that car...
