Gold ground effects and standard Trans Am decal striping.

'85-up dash pad, gray GTA steering wheel, '85-up gray power window switch, and goofy carbon fiber dash overlay kit.

It looks more like a standard T/A that someone put Recaro seats in.

Whats wrong with it?

White letter tires.
Rear window louvers.
Cali plates.
Carbon fiber dash garbage.

Its actually pretty clean, however.

Wow way more items than I got, The sail panel emblems have been replaced with decals. That and Gold ground effects with standard Trans Am decal striping is what I saw.

It is a Y84, he sent me the spid. Seats have been redone too.

Those are not recaro t/a stripes. The console is too shiny for an '84. The buttons for the mirrors and the windows looks weird too. The steering wheel is not the original one. The bird is painted and the leather covering is too long. That golden paint looks too bright to my eyes. I don't think that was the correct color for '84 t/a's. The ground effects are black on '84 recaro's. It looks pretty clean though...

The Door Handles say "Trans Am" I thought the Recaros would say "RECARO" Look close, you can see that there is 2 words.

The inserts on the door panel, should they be leather or cloth with leather seats? Looks like they are cloth.

The steering wheel looks like the one from my 83 T/A parts car, less the Gold Bird.

I thought those steering wheels were available in '84. Didn't the anniversary editions have those steering wheels? I noticed the louvered hood decal bird has three feathers on his neck...should only be 2. I know, that's a little too picky
Didn't noticed the dash at first but it is incorrect...probably a dash pad. Carbon fiber looks stupid. Shouldn't the "Pontiac" letters on the taillights be gold also? I don't know alot about the '84 Recaros so it might be correct. The door handle might be correct. As far as I know they said "Recaro T/A" so that would look like 2 words also.

Actually the feathers on the back of the birds neck went from 3 to 2 in 1985 I believe... Same thing for the "fire" from the birds mouth, it had more flames early on in the 80's then it was toned down.

I'm pretty biased but I think that the Firebird Logo has got to be the coolest car logo out there.

I think the Viper logo is pretty sweet too....but the Firebird logo is timeless.

No, that is incorrect. The '82 "bird" has 2 feathers. All of the "bird" decals on my '82 have 2 feathers and they are the originals. I don't know if they ever went to 3 but I'm almost positive that 3 are incorect for all 3rd gens. I think the companies that make the reproductions just put 3 to diferentiate between originals and reproductions. Again, I could be wrong, but I know that the '82's only have 2 feathers. Also, my vehicle owners manual and factory shop manual both have the "bird" logo on the front, and they both have 2 feathers.

It says it is a 5.0 HO but looks to be an LG4 (at least the intake is not a dual snorkel).

The 8th digit in the VIN is a G which denotes a L69 5.0L HO engine.

The "power bulge" hood equipped 5.0L HO Trans Ams used the standard LG4 air cleaner. When the flat hood was used starting in 1985 then the 5.0L HO cars got the dual snorkel air cleaner like the Camaro.
